World Topiary Day 2023

To celebrate World Topiary Day 2023 Elton Hall will once again be opening the Private Wilderness Garden for the afternoon of Friday 12th May.

Launched by EBTS UK and Levens Hall, home of the world’s oldest topiary garden, World Topiary Day celebrates the timeless art of clipping and shaping trees.
Usually not accessible to visitors, on this special day the secluded Wilderness Garden will be open to wander through and enjoy the many different species of shaped box.

Back in the formal gardens you can admire neatly clipped hedges and the artistic shapes on the topiary lawn where Bertie the Dog is always a firm favourite.

Free entry for Historic House and RHS Partner Garden members.
